Terms of Use

The rules for using Claspet, written to be read: what you can do, what you cannot, and what happens when someone breaks them.

Last updated: 9 October 2026

The Italian version of these terms is the original; this translation is provided for convenience. If the two differ, the Italian one prevails, unless the law of your country says otherwise.

1. Who we are and what Claspet is

Claspet is an end-to-end encrypted messaging service, with apps for iPhone, Mac and Android. It is provided by Interfibra S.r.l., Contrada San Giovanni in Golfo 207/E, 86100 Campobasso (CB), Italy («we»). You can reach us at claspet@interfibra.it and on +39 335 736 7638.

By using Claspet you accept these terms. How we handle data is written in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms. Claspet is free today: if paid features ever arrive, we will say so beforehand, with their conditions.

2. Minimum age

You must be at least 13 years old to use Claspet, or the higher age that the law of your country requires to use an online service on your own (for example 14 in Italy and Spain, 15 in France, 16 in Germany and the Netherlands). Below that age you need the consent of a parent. If you are a minor, ask a parent to read these terms with you. If we find an account belonging to a younger person without that consent, we close it.

3. Your account

4. Zero tolerance: what is forbidden

We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. On Claspet you must not send, share or request:

5. Reporting and blocking

You can block anyone, at any time: from then on you no longer receive what they send you. You can report them to us, writing what happened and, if you choose, attaching the last messages they sent you (where to find it: Support). You can also write to claspet@interfibra.it.

We review reports within 24 hours. If a user has broken these terms we may, depending on how serious it is, warn them, suspend or close their account and prevent them from opening new ones; where the law requires it, we report the matter to the authorities and hand them what we have.

It is worth being clear about what we can and cannot do. Claspet is end-to-end encrypted: we do not see messages, so we do not screen them in advance and we cannot remove them from the phones of the people who received them. We only see what the person reporting chooses to send us. That is why reporting and blocking are your tools, and why we take them seriously.

6. Your content

What you write and send remains yours, and you are responsible for it. You grant us no licence over your content, because we cannot read it. The only content we read is the messages that a person reporting chooses to attach, and we use them only to handle the report.

7. The service

We do our best to keep Claspet working at all times, but we cannot guarantee that there will be no interruptions, delays or defects, or that a message will arrive within a given time. We may change the service to improve it or for security or legal reasons. If we ever had to shut it down, we would announce it in the app at least thirty days in advance, unless the law or people's safety prevents it.

We may suspend or close an account, even without notice, if it breaks these terms or the law, or if that is needed to protect other people or the service. If you think it was a mistake, write to us: we will review the decision and get back to you.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage, for the loss of data that we cannot keep because of how the service is built (for example messages on a lost phone without a backup), or for what users write to each other. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for personal injury, or the rights the law grants you as a consumer that cannot be removed by contract.

9. If these terms change

If we change something substantial we will tell you in the app, which will ask you to accept the new version before continuing. If you do not agree you can stop using Claspet and delete your account.

10. Law and courts

These terms are governed by Italian law. The court of Campobasso has jurisdiction over any dispute, unless you are a consumer: in that case the court of the place where you live has jurisdiction, and you keep the mandatory protections of the law of your country. If you want to settle something without going to court, write to us first: most problems end with an answer.

11. If you downloaded Claspet from the App Store

These terms are between you and Interfibra S.r.l., not between you and Apple. Apple is not responsible for Claspet or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it, and is not liable for claims relating to the app (defects, legal compliance, third-party rights): we are, within the limits of these terms. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which will refund any price paid; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation. By using the app you declare that you are not located in a country subject to a United States embargo and that you are not on any list of parties to whom the United States prohibits providing services. You must also comply with the terms of any third-party services you use with Claspet (for example your network). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Contact

For everything, including support, reports, data requests and communications from authorities (point of contact under the EU Digital Services Act): claspet@interfibra.it, in Italian or English. Phone +39 335 736 7638.
